Philadelphia Newborn Photography: Baby Reagan

When I first arrived to their house, I made the mistake of commenting how impressed I was that Reagan was such a sound sleeper. As her older sister Morgan danced around the room, singing and laughing, Reagan barely flinched from her sweet slumber. It was, of course, quite the jinx on myself as Reagan barely slept the rest of the afternoon. WHOOPS! Won’t make that mistake again! She sure made us work for it, but I am pretty impressed at what we were able to capture in the 10 minutes of sleep she did give us.

Obviously, it doesn’t hurt that the whole family is adorable and Reagan’s older sister, Morgan, is full of personality! For a girl that was crying when I arrived because she isn’t crazy about strangers, it only took about 5 minutes for her to warm up to me and she then acted as my official assistant for the day – helping me set up blankets and move equipment and, obviously, review images. 😉 And, I must admit, her love for her new little sister was pretty darn heart-melting. Prepare yourselves, folks! Enjoy the images! xo.

To the Dubois family, thank you so much for letting me into your lives for the day and capture such a special time. Both your daughters are just precious and it was truly an honor to be able to capture them and their sweet relationship.

Morgan was full of kisses for her sister. SO SWEET.

Love Morgan’s look at her sister in this one. Seriously, can you even handle the cuteness?!

Philadelphia Family Photography: The Ziegler Family

It has been a while since I have gotten actually nervous before a shoot. I mean, I am usually EXCITED, but nervous? Not so much. But, you see, April is a close friend of mine and an incredibly talented photographer. So, when we agreed to trade sessions, I hadn’t really thought about the kind of pressure that would mean for me!

Fortunately, April and her family are incredibly sweet, easy to work with, and have a wonderfully cute toddler, Charlotte (do you remember Charlotte?!). It was so much fun for me to be able to capture them together and get to capture Charlotte at such a fun, playful age. She made some of THE BEST expressions during our shoot that really expressed her excited personality, which I just adored. It really is hard not to grin looking at that sweet smile of hers, isn’t it!? Enjoy the images!

What’s not to love about Fall leaves!? Love that guilty face she makes at the end:)

That curly blonde hair! OH MY GOSH.

She laid down like this all by herself. ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS CUTENESS!?

FAVORITE! Love that April and C are making the same excited expressions!

And then a few of just April and Kev together, because ALL parents should do this!

April and Kev, I had so much fun with your family. I hope you’ll let me continue to capture you guys together as C grows. Can’t wait to see what you do with them! xoxo.

Philadelphia Wedding Photography: Danielle & Nick’s Engagement at Ridley Creek

A few weeks ago I met up with Danyelle & Nick for their engagement session. They trusted my location recommendations so we ended up at one of my all-time favorite spots: Ridley Creek State Park. And, with not a soul in sight, we enjoyed a perfect afternoon exploring the area. Danyelle & Nick were one of those couples that assured me they’d need lots of guidance, but in reality, were total naturals in front of the camera. Makes my job crazy easy!

Danyelle & Nick, had so much fun meeting you and getting to know you a little better. Can’t wait to shoot your wedding next Spring!

Gemma’s First Birthday – Philadelphia Children’s Photography

I am not sure what to say anymore other than the fact that I seriously have the cutest little clients in the world. And I’m honestly not the kind of person that thinks all kids are cute. But this one…. man oh man, is she ever! With her sweet blonde locks and bright blue eyes… heart melting. Happy first birthday, Gemma! Thanks McQuiggan family for letting me capture such a special time in your lives.

Enjoy the images! xo.

Kelly - Oh my gosh she is just too much. How precious!October 7, 2013 – 3:32 PM

Philadelphia Engagement Photography: Stephanie & Alex’s Brooklyn Engagement

It’s been a while since I’ve shared any engagement sessions. I won’t say how long, just, ummmm, a while.

So, with Stephanie & Alex’s wedding tomorrow, it seems like the perfect opportunity to share their wintery engagement that I never got a chance to share. This past January, on what had to be THE COLDEST day of the year, I made the trek up to Brooklyn to meet them for a shoot around their favorite parts of the neighborhood.

We had actually been holding out hope for something involving snow. But, come mid-January – once it felt like hope was lost for a snowy shoot – we decided to make a go for something wintery anyway. And, despite the lack of flakes, it was freezing…. and windy… and bitterly cold. Now, let that sink in and check out what troopers they were. I mean, seriously. I would have lasted about two seconds without my winter coat.

Many thanks to Stephanie & Alex for my brief introduction to Brooklyn. Can’t wait to shoot their wedding tomorrow! Happy weekend, friends! xo.
