LIZ & ALEX’S ENGAGEMENT SESSION IN DOWNTOWN HADDONFIELD

As I look back through their images, I wish I could take credit for how smiley, and full of laughter these two are. Like my jokes are that funny or something. But in reality, Liz & Alex just love being together, and this was obvious from the first time I met them. They just have a certain way around each other – a certain presence – that shows how comfortable they are around one another.

Our first consult was at Capogiro (an incredible Philadelphia gelato place, for those of you unfamiliar). And, I suppose in some way, our mutual obsession with gelato was the first step that sealed our fate. Add to that the fact that Liz greeted me at our second meeting with a box full of brownies (are you kidding me?!) and at their engagement session with the most incredible freshly baked banana bread… well, I guess you could just say I knew we’d be friends for life. 😉

Truly though, Liz & Alex are two people with hearts of gold and infectious laughter. Two people who make the world a better place just by being in it. I was honored to capture their wedding (more on that to come…) and am honored to call them friends. Here are a few favorites… just try not to smile while you’re looking at them… go on, I dare you to even try.

Becki - Dammit, you’re right. Had to smile! Infectious favorites: first image, third image, last b+w with truck and sun in background. LOVE them.September 25, 2012 – 12:13 PM

MELINDA AND TJ’S WEDDING AT BRIDGEWATER MANOR – NEW JERSEY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

A few of my friends expressed interest in the fact that I had a wedding to shoot on not just on a Friday, but a Friday the 13th. Yikes. But, you see, Melinda & TJ were originally supposed to be married on the Halloween prior. So, when matters came up that necessitated them delaying their wedding, then Friday the 13th became an obvious choice. And, with gorgeously clear skies and a basically hiccup-free morning, their wedding day was anything but jinxed.

Here are just a couple favorites from their day.

Below is the groom’s cake (in case you are wondering), which played homage to their original wedding date choice, obviously. I couldn’t resist sharing this – love the dark colors and awesome toppers!

Dee Nikolaidis - Love the uniqueness of this wedding and how you made it elegant along with capturing their personalities ! A true artist !September 24, 2012 – 8:03 AM

ALI & CHRIS’S MATERNITY SESSION – NEW JERSEY MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY

One of the most humbling things to me is when former clients e-mail me as one of the first to know when they become pregnant. Ali was one of these. And, she knew I would be ECSTATIC and demand that I shoot her maternity portraits. 😉 So, here we were, just shy of their one-year anniversary when Ali, Chris, and I ventured out to the park by their house and captured just a few images to document just how gorgeous Ali looks pregnant and the love they already feel for their soon-to-be baby boy.

Congratulations again, Ali & Chris, you know it’s completely my honor to document these incredible stages in your life. You are two of the funniest, sweetest people I know. Can’t wait to meet the little guy!

Wedding Invitations - Awwwwwwwwwwww I love the belly pics the best. So romantic! <3September 6, 2012 – 10:46 PM

KATE & DAVE’S WEDDING AT THE WATERWORKS – PHILADELPHIA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

On a very cold day at the end of March, Kate and Dave got married in Philadelphia at The Waterworks. But, despite the cold and wind, Kate wore a gorgeous dress and looked completely breathtaking as they said their vows along the river. Dave’s groomsmen were almost all military men, and given that some of them work in special operations units, they have asked that their pictures not be posted online in any form. Kate and Dave did, however, give me permission to post a few photos of the two of them and of some of the stunning details of their day.

It was fabulously coordinated by The Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants and the incredible florals were done by OffShoots. Cannot recommend these two highly enough!

Thank you Kate and Dave for letting me be a part of such a wonderful day and allowing me to share it. It was truly an honor!

FIRST LOOK!

Of course, we couldn’t miss hitting up a couple major landmarks around town…

And, just a couple of their stunning details. The Waterworks truly couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop for such a gorgeous aesthetic. Kudos to the OffShoots team for the jaw-dropping implementation of it all.

Tina - Gorgeous Amanda! I particularly love that shoe shot:)July 18, 2012 – 1:40 PM

THE BEAUTY OF SILENCE

“I’ve begun to realize that you can listen to silence and learn from it. It has a quality and a dimension all its own.”
― Chaim Potok, The Chosen

Have you heard the crickets around here? No? Well then you haven’t been listening. I went on a bit of a “social media hiatus” these last few weeks months in an attempt at some self-reflection. And, I must admit, it was much needed and much enjoyed. Growing up in a digital age, I’ve been blessed/cursed to be so connected all! the! time! And, while most of the time I love it, I realized I needed some space to just live and not feel like I am just spending all my time just talking about living. Does that make sense? Maybe not. But it worked for me.

You know what I haven’t taken a hiatus from, however? Shooting. And that, friends, is a good thing! I have so many weddings and shoots to share with you that I’m completely giddy with excitement.

First up, tomorrow I’ll share a few images from Kate & Dave’s gorgeous wedding at The Waterworks.

Tell me these two aren’t adorable!

And a huge thank you to those of you who are still reading this. Thanks for not giving up on me!

Laura - Gorgeous!July 19, 2012 – 9:23 PM

Dee Nikolaidis - Love it. Beautiful couple and beautiful pictures !! Congrats !September 24, 2012 – 8:05 AM
