It always honors me when anyone chooses me to capture such a special day in their lives but I think even more so when it is “site unseen.” Kristine & Rob were planning their wedding from Chicago, so they were booking a lot of things – most things – from afar. Of course, I wasn’t particularly shocked that upon finally meeting Kristine for the first time I knew we’d get along quite well. ๐Ÿ˜‰ And so, some few months later, on a lovely June afternoon, Kristine and Rob wed at the gorgeous Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The golf club grounds were gorgeous, and their formal black & white details really complimented the venue perfectly. And, of course, Kristine & Rob couldn’t be more adorable together. Enjoy! xo.

And then a few with the boys…

…and then it was to the Aronimink for the rest of the girl’s preparations!
Her dress was a Vera Wang and I was in loooooove.

And then it was time for the FIRST LOOK. Always one of my favorite moments of the day.

And then… ceremony time!

In lieu of a guestbook, they had a quilt for guests to leave their “warm wishes.”
It was the first time I’ve seen this and I love this idea, especially for these Chicago-ians. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m about to get all personal on ya. When Amarel and Matt contacted me about shooting their wedding next year, I couldn’t say YES fast enough. You see, Matt is my cousin. And, though we grew up several states apart and would sometimes go years and years without seeing each other, his sweet personality and genuine spirit have always warmed my heart. Like any cousin should, I have goofy memories of ridiculous trouble we would get into whenever we did see one another (pet ladybug, anybody?). And, though I hadn’t met her yet, I had heard wonderful things about his fiancรฉ, Amarel, and it was only a few e-mails in before I knew there was no question that she fit right in with the family!

Nonetheless, one very, very sunny (and hot!) day in the spring, we met up at Centennial Park in Ellicott City, Maryland and I helped capture just a few images of their adorable relationship. They met through their mutual love of science/chemistry, so it was only natural we tied that into a few shots as well. Matt and Reli, you know I couldn’t be more honored you asked me to be your photographer, and, I simply cannot wait to capture your wedding this April. Love you both!

And then we busted out with the lab coats. 4/29 is their wedding day… SAVE THE DATE!

On a warm June afternoon, friends and family of Joanna & Richy gathered from near and far to celebrate their wedding. Their rich black-white-red color scheme set the perfect tone for a wedding at the Curtis Center, transforming the space into something positively glamorous. And, of course, it doesn’t hurt that Joanna and Richy look a little like they stepped out of the pages of Vogue. As if their perfect weather and amazing details weren’t enough, their guests know how to party. Which always makes my job just a little more fun! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Here are a few of my favorites from the day!

Dee Nikolaidis - Very classy and classy photography that caught the mood ! Congrats !December 10, 2012 – 11:36 AM

Earlier this year, Liz’s friends gifted her a session for her birthday (nice friends, eh?) and we set up a time to get together and capture her sweet family and two adorable children. These two were smiles nearly the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. I’d like to pretend it had something to do with me. But in reality, these are just two very happy kids. A total delight to be around, and, makes my job so easy! Thanks Liz & Nichole for the fun afternoon and for sharing your children’s fun spirits with me. It was a complete joy to capture them for you!

It’s true. I’m blogging stuff from spring. I haven’t blogged all the sessions I have shot, even before that. I have skipped entire weeks months with no posts. I’ll be the first admit: this has NOT been the most happening blog out there. But, the reality is that I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing couples, families, and children this last year and I could not be more thankful for that. People who have trusted me to document these incredible, special moments in their lives. Many of whom have since become referrers, neighbors, and friends. I love you all more than I can say.

Last week, an anonymous person e-mailed me to tell me that they were a “disgruntled blog reader” since I never update. My initial reaction was… wait, people really read the blog? After I got over that initial surprise, I realized the reality is: they’re totally right. So thank you, anonymous reader, for reminding me that just shooting isn’t enough if I’m not sharing it with others.

See, sometimes peer pressure can be a good thing! So, while I pull myself together, prepare yourselves to see a snapshot of my 2012. I’m going to attempt to blog the whole thing in the next few weeks (wish me luck!). So, this means I’m also going to try to scale back the NUMBER of images I post with each (again, wish me luck!). In the meantime, thanks for sticking around. We’re happy to have you here…. still. xoxoxo.

Also, for you loyal readers, keep your eyes peeled. Will definitely be posting someย it’s-not-black-friday-but-even-better deals soon. You don’t want to miss these!

Tina - Yay, I’m glad you’re getting back into blogging!December 8, 2012 – 3:06 PM

Kelly - Yay! You can do it. :)December 9, 2012 – 1:10 PM

TGA - Thank goodness!!! I am very appreciative. These are stunning. Sorry, I didn’t mean to come off creepy and anonymous but I’m happy that you started up again. We know you’re overwhelming busy, but please don’t stop.December 10, 2012 – 10:06 PM
