FAQ

What do you mean by flash drive of images?

There is nothing misleading about this statement. It is precisely that: a flash drive of your images. They are your images in high resolution as edited jpegs, provided to you on a high-quality custom-made flash drive. There are no strings attached! They include a print release so you are free to print wherever you please. You may not, however, sell or edit them yourself.

How many images will we get?

Unfortunately, there is no single answer for this. It depends on how long I am there, how long your wedding or session is, etc. In the case of weddings, since I shoot everything from 6 to 16-hour days, this can vary extensively.

How long to get our images?

I am pleased to say that beginning in 2013, all portrait session images are delivered in 2 weeks and weddings are delivered in 7-8 weeks, with a sneak peek in there somewhere. 😉

Where should we print our images?

Good question! If you’ve purchased the digital collection including the flash drive of images, you are welcome to print wherever you please. That being said, if you wish to preserve the professional quality of the images and the careful color correction that has already been applied, take care to send them to an actual photo lab. Please contact me and I can make recommendations for consumer labs with higher-grade products.

What kind of gear do you use?

All my gear is Nikon professional equipment and I use Mac computers and Adobe software for editing.

We’re interested… now what?

Just head on over to the “Contact” section, fill out the form, and I should get back to you within 2 business days! If you have not heard from me, please check your spam folder. (I promise I’m not spamming you, but sometimes my e-mails end up there…)

Wedding-Specific Questions

Should we hire you?

Of course, I would love to work with you. I do not believe, however, that everyone should hire me. Your wedding photographer is going to be there and around you all day long on the most important — and also one of the most stressful — days of your life. You must really sit back and ask yourself: do I like this person? Like as in, really like them? If the answer is yes, then let’s do this thing! If not, make sure you find someone that you do connect with. No one photographer is suitable for everyone.

What is a “second shooter”?

A second shooter is someone who will come with me on the day of your wedding. They are provided for a maximum of 8 hours and will take photos that will later be edited with mine.

Do I need one?

This is entirely wedding and preference-specific. How many guests do you have? What does the timeline of your day look like? If you’re really concerned this is something we can discuss more at length at your free consultation.

Will you shoot other events leading up to my wedding?

Absolutely! I highly recommend an engagement or portrait session to help us get to know each other better. The more comfortable you are around me before your wedding day, the more comfortable you will be around me on your wedding day. And, the more comfortable you are around me on your wedding day, the better your images will be!

If you’re interested in having me document other events leading up to the wedding like the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, engagement parties, etc., I would love to be there. Please contact me for more details and custom pricing depending on what your exact needs are.

Do you like cake?

Ummm yes, please and thank you!

Do you sell albums? What about guestbooks?

Yes! And I would love to help you create the perfect album of or book for your wedding. We can make a guestbook out of your engagement images [for your guests to rave about!] or an album for you to gift to your parents, or for yourselves — to preserve forever. Just let me know and I would love to show you sample and discuss with you more at length what you would like.
