I’ll save the story of when I first met Alyssa for when I share their wedding (which is this weekend! – the wedding part, not the sharing), but suffice it to say that Alyssa and I had one of those dang-it’s-a-small-world moments when we realized that we’ve likely seen each other – and maybe even spoken to one another – at some point before in our lives.
I already knew a little bit about her, from reading her blog, which I found before I even moved to Philly and long before I met her in person. And, I got to meet Matt, her counterpart, the day of the session and knew instantly that he couldn’t be a better complement to her. They’re two of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever had the chance to work with and I instantly fell in love with their silliness and their willingness to accommodate. During their session, I made them climb fences, lay in bushes, and hold plastic signs above their heads. A couple that’s willing to do all that, friends, is my kind of couple.
And, I hope you’ll agree, all our trudging and goofing around was worth it for the shot…
This one (below on the right) is one of my all-time favorite images. Alyssa, you are GORGEOUS.
And nothing like ending a session with a little Rita’s, which is practically next door to Alyssa’s house, that lucky girl! 😉
Alyssa & Matt, thanks for being so sweet, understanding, and for completely trusting me with some of my questionable requests. I am positively beyond excited and honored to shoot your wedding THIS WEEKEND.
