At the beginning of the year, I made a goal to myself about getting myself out there. How many times I would try to get published on other people’s blogs, get published in general. It’s not an easy thing you know – making the effort to constantly put yourself out there, constantly put yourself up for rejection. So, having a number – a goal – in mind made sense. Then one day, at the urging of some wonderful clients and fellow wedding professionals…. I nervously submitted a wedding to 100 Layer Cake. One of my all-time favorite wedding blogs. And the best part? They accepted it.
So, here I am both humbled and honored. Check out the super extended preview of Mindy & Mark’s June wedding at Terrain here (I say “super preview” just because I have about 5 million more images to share). Be sure to take a peek and leave a comment with your love!
And, as if that weren’t enough….
Some images from Mindy and Mark’s wedding were featured over on the dpnak blog on defining your bridal party. Check it out here. Psst – it’s an excellent post, and, if you’re planning a wedding, you should totally read up on her tips!
To add to the Mindy and Mark love – I also just found out that the Get Married blog linked to Mindy and Mark’s engagement kitchen cooking session here, recommending readers check out their images. So honored!
And last, but certainly not least, an image from my maternity session with dear friend Krista was selected to be used on the cover of “The Expectant Mother’s Guide to Philadelphia.” And, I’m told if you are pregnant in the Philadelphia area, you’ll see these at your OB’s office. So, if you do, pick up a copy! And if you’re a loyal reader and wondering why that picture doesn’t look familiar it’s because that session was from a year and a half ago. Krista has a little one-and-a-half-year-old on her hands now.
But, isn’t she the prettiest pregnant woman ever?
But the point to this post, was less horn-tooting, and more of a thank you. Thank you to my wonderful clients who put their trust and faith in me. A thank you to these wonderful blogs and businesses that have supported my work. And, perhaps most of all, a huge thank you to my friends (and fellow wedding professionals) who have supported and encouraged me every step of the way.
Without you all, I wouldn’t be who I am today.
Happy weekend, all. xo.
