When G and I moved to Philadelphia in May, honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew we had picked a good neighborhood – what’s not to love about a Tiffany’s a block away? But the city itself? I wasn’t so sure. Fact is, I only came here once before moving here and that was to find an apartment. My knowledge of the city was limited to all I could soak up in books and everything I’ve learned from the incredibly educational It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. And, if we are using the latter as a measuring stick, well, then I should have shown up prepared for lots of drunkards and chaos. [For the record and the It's Always Sunny fans, I still haven't found Paddy's Pub yet, but pretty close.]
But, over the last two months, we’ve explored. Tried new things. Seen amazing sights. Learned tons. And yet, there is still so much more of Philly for us to see. It’s like the city never ends. So much history. So much visually. And – what I’ve learned very quickly – so much talent.
So, a few weeks ago when I was wandering the city and saw this gem, well, I just knew I had to have a photo of it. I think it kind of sums up my feelings right about now.
