TUESDAY SHOESDAY: EDITION I – A TRIBUTE TO RED

Where to begin? So, I have admired from afar for quite some time the lovely ladies who participate in Tuesday Shoesday. Every Tuesday they post a pair of shoes (or two!) that has provided them inspiration of some kind. I know, it might seem silly. How does one find inspiration in a shoe. Ridiculousness? Maybe. But if you saw the kinds of shoes we are talking about here, well, you might just change your mind.

A small part of me wanted to title this post “These Shoes Weren’t Meant for Walking.” Because, if I am being honest – like really honest - probably none of the posts I will post on Tuesday Shoesday will be intended for running, walking, dancing, or, well, anything practical. But you know what? They’ll be beautiful. And on your wedding day that might be all that matters. After all, how many brides keep them on past the beginning of the reception anyway!? (Correct answer: Not many.)

And truthfully, if you’re going to find inspiration in shoes it would be hard to start anywhere but with a pair of hot red pumps. So today, that is what I bring you. The hottest pair of hot red pumps I have ever seen.

Beautiful, no? Imagine those hot little toes peeking out from under your dress…

Anyway, these were the bride’s shoes at a wedding I was shooting. Actually, we fell so in love with them that we even asked where they were from and – if my memory serves me correctly – I believe she said Baker’s. Unfortunately, she said she got them a long, long time ago….

But best of luck in your search! Thanks for commenting!June 29, 2010 – 5:12 PM
